My First Valentines Card

Hi everyone!  I imagine a lot of you are getting ready for a night out to welcome in the New Year but I’m not.  I have to work the weekend so it is early to bed for me.

Today I declared to be PJ day!  I have done nothing..but read, play Scrabble on Face book and make this card!  I have not had a day like this for a few weeks so it felt wonderful!

This is my first Valentines card; I used an image from Karen's Doodles.

 I just think this image is so cute!

• SU paper pink and white, and  K&Company Dp.
• Copic markers, MFT doily die, lace, MFT rolled flower die, pearls, SU oval punch, SU scalloped punch, SU butterfly die, dimensionals and MS branch punch.

Missed Birthday!

Hi everyone.  Here it is, 4 more sleeps till Santa comes!!!!! More  important, just 3 more sleeps till my Grand kids get here.  They are so excited.  It will be nice to have them here to take my mind off of being sad with not having Dad with us. I have his combat boots by the fire place with a Santa hat on them so in a way he is here in Spirit.

Time to get on to my card.  When I first saw this image at Squigglefly it tickled my funny bone.  When I got it colored the caption to use with it just popped out of my head. LOL!

Goodbye to Squigglefly

Yes this is my last challenge with Squigglefly. They are busy putting a new team together to start in the new year. 
This  week is my challenge.  I have asked the team to make a gift card holder, any design.  I wanted to get away from Christmas so I made mine for Valentines!

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!  Well I was sent home from work again today!  No I wasn't bad……..it is this darn cough still.  The Dr. heard me and called me into her office to listen to my chest and wouldn't you know it she heard some wheezing which wasn't there last week.  So after a chest x-ray, I was given a script for antibiotics (again) and sent home!

Here is a card I made about a week ago but never posted.  The image is from Squigglefly and is called  ``Domestic Goddess``

This is out third blizzard since mid October.  The one today dumped 2 feet of snow in our yard!!  My husband just went out to start the snow blower to get us dug out!!

Have I told you lately how much I hate winter?????…………………..well we won’t go there!

Sassycheryls Show Me Thursday

Yes It is time to show you what I’m working on.  I took this picture at 4am this morning.  I even had a helper!!!!  Chloe thought I could use the company, my other fur baby was sleeping with his Daddy!

I have had a few people who have tried to zoom in on my craft room on the rt. side of the screen so here is the large view.  The room is only 10x11 but it works for me.

A Squigglefly Sneak Peek……

Good morning!

Well here I go again…..been awake since 3am coughing!!!  I thought I was finally over the cold after being sick for a week but it came back on Monday!!!!  The bugs seem to be getting stronger!!!

Anyway I made good use of the time……I made this sneak peek of a new image being released this Saturday at Squigglefly.com.

The image is called Winter Landing by Brian Lock.

I wanted to try the new technique on Split Coast using an acrylic block for the background.  Now it called for dye ink which I have none of so I used my SU pigment ink and I think it looks ok.

Sassycheryls Challenge #37

Good morning all!  Here it is…..another week and a new challenge at Sassycheryls Challenge Blog!
Our challenge is to make a card and use some tulle.  Now I have a confession to make to you all.  I have NO tulle!   I used some wide organza ribbon and hope my Sassy Sisters will accept this card.

Here is my card-



When I first saw this image, my first though was,”this image makes me feel sad”.  Then  while coloring it I realized why.  I feel like this little girl this Christmas.  I am lost and sad that I won’t have Dad with me………. anyway……. I think this is my all time favourite image that Cheryl has drawn.

Squigglefly Challenge #74

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a good weekend.

Here is my card-


I can remember when I was a little girl I used to try and dance like this for my Grand mother.  She used to cheer me on and made me feel like I was the best dancer in the world!!
This image was released a week ago and is called Flamenco Dancer

• SU paper- white, dark grey and Basic Grey DP.
• Sewing is all hand done using a paper piercer and white quilting thread. I also made love knots on the swirl in the corner of the image. Copic markers, SU scalloped border punch,  dimensionals, pearls
