Squigglefly Challenge #77

I am sure everyone now is thinking Christmas and Shopping…..I know I am.  With being sick for the past month, the only thing I have done so far is make my list, but that’s a start right?? LOL!

Well my day was spent sleeping, a bit of coloring……….more sleeping……..

who think they are missing something because they don’t get snow!!!!!

This is out third blizzard since mid October.  The one today dumped 2 feet of snow in our yard!!  My husband just went out to start the snow blower to get us dug out!!

Have I told you lately how much I hate winter?????…………………..well we won’t go there!

Sassycheryls Show Me Thursday

Yes It is time to show you what I’m working on.  I took this picture at 4am this morning.  I even had a helper!!!!  Chloe thought I could use the company, my other fur baby was sleeping with his Daddy!

I have had a few people who have tried to zoom in on my craft room on the rt. side of the screen so here is the large view.  The room is only 10x11 but it works for me.

A Squigglefly Sneak Peek……

Good morning!

Well here I go again…..been awake since 3am coughing!!!  I thought I was finally over the cold after being sick for a week but it came back on Monday!!!!  The bugs seem to be getting stronger!!!

Anyway I made good use of the time……I made this sneak peek of a new image being released this Saturday at Squigglefly.com.

The image is called Winter Landing by Brian Lock.

I wanted to try the new technique on Split Coast using an acrylic block for the background.  Now it called for dye ink which I have none of so I used my SU pigment ink and I think it looks ok.

Sassycheryls Color Me Challenge #2

This card is made for the weekly color me challenge on the Sassycheryls Blog this week.  I used her new image called"Cappuccino Anyone Snowman" image which is available this week.

Here is my card-

What I used to make this card-

• SU paper creamy caramel, always artichoke, DP
• Copic markers, liquid appliqué, CB embossing folder, EK border punch, Slice machine for the holly leaves, the berries are faux brads.

Sassycheryls Challenge #37

Good morning all!  Here it is…..another week and a new challenge at Sassycheryls Challenge Blog!
Our challenge is to make a card and use some tulle.  Now I have a confession to make to you all.  I have NO tulle!   I used some wide organza ribbon and hope my Sassy Sisters will accept this card.

Here is my card-



When I first saw this image, my first though was,”this image makes me feel sad”.  Then  while coloring it I realized why.  I feel like this little girl this Christmas.  I am lost and sad that I won’t have Dad with me………. anyway……. I think this is my all time favourite image that Cheryl has drawn.

• organza ribbon which I gathered at the bottom of the card, MS border punch, Copic markers, homemade faux brads, clear nail polish for the brads, dimensionals.

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a good weekend.

Here is my card-


I can remember when I was a little girl I used to try and dance like this for my Grand mother.  She used to cheer me on and made me feel like I was the best dancer in the world!!
This image was released a week ago and is called Flamenco Dancer

• SU paper- white, dark grey and Basic Grey DP.
• Sewing is all hand done using a paper piercer and white quilting thread. I also made love knots on the swirl in the corner of the image. Copic markers, SU scalloped border punch,  dimensionals, pearls

A Sheep Bearing Gifts

Good morning every one.  A week today I got sick with a terrible cold. The sore throat has been with me just as long.  Feels like I swallowed razor blades!!!!  I was swabbed yesterday for strep but won’t know till the end of the week. I am not to work until next week now; Dr’s orders!
The only good thing about all this is that when I wake up at night coughing I go to my office and make cards.
Here is one I did the other night.  I have been wanting to work with this image for a few weeks now.  This cute digital image is from Sassycheryls.com.  There are lots of new images to choose from so go and take a look!



I think this card could be used for any gift giving occasion including Christmas!  I love using non traditional colors for Christmas cards.

Good morning everyone!  I can’t believe it is November the first already!!!!  Next thing you know it will be Christmas for heavens sake!!
